Crafted by a mischievous mage from the Vache Kingdom who was tired of pickpockets but loved pranks, the Wormhole Wallet is a small, well-worn coin pouch made of stitched leather and lined with silk from the Nagan Empire. To the unsuspecting, it's just a purse—until its strange spatial quirk activates. Everything stored inside is displaced and pops back into your left boot (or right, 50/50) after a short and unpredictable delay.
While inconvenient, it’s oddly secure—very few thieves think to check your footwear. It has become popular among certain people throughout the known world.
Properties:
- Spatial Displacement. Any non-living, handheld item placed into the Wormhole Wallet vanishes from the pouch immediately. After 1d4 minutes, the item reappears inside one of the wearer’s boots or shoes, intact and unharmed. If the wearer is barefoot, the item instead appears in a random pocket or behind their belt. If neither is available, it appears at their feet.
- Limited Capacity. The Wormhole Wallet can hold up to 1 cubic foot or 10 pounds of material. Anything larger is immediately rejected and falls to the ground.
- Mildly Maddening. If an item is placed into the wallet during combat, it still vanishes—but the reappearance roll happens after the combat ends (DM’s discretion). Many adventurers have accidentally tossed coins into it during a fight… only to be limping on their way home.
