This elegant quill has a polished shaft etched with faint runes and a feather that seems to float slightly above the desk when held. While touching the quill and speaking aloud, the Sage’s Quill automatically writes the words spoken by the user onto any suitable writing surface within 5 feet. The writing is perfectly legible in a language the user knows and does not require ink. The quill can be commanded to stop or resume writing with a single word.
Additionally, the Sage’s Quill can copy text from an existing document. When placed upon a page and commanded, it reproduces the text exactly, including diagrams and symbols, at a steady pace. The quill cannot interpret, translate, or embellish content; it records only what is spoken or present on the page.
While the quill is active, it cannot be moved more than 5 feet away from a writing surface without pausing its work.
