Hailing from the same pod family as Absalom Myers and Taylen Myers (Kris), Amati Liminzah is a social presence among the residents of West Village, always happy to bend an ear, recount a daring tale of questionable authenticity, or rambling about something he's recently heard. He spends his days learning what he can from others while also occasionally talking himself into situations that he has to be bailed out from, typically by Abe. Though their interests tend to diverge, he also enjoys whiling away time with his twin brother, Atani Liminzah, both of whom chose their own last name and share an apartment together. While Atani enjoys a fascination with life outside of West Village, Amati's focus lies more so on domestic matters.

Amati’s primary concern in life above all else is the continuation of West Village, and has dedicated himself to this endeavor by doing his utmost to obtain the most valuable of life’s currencies: information. In this regard, he earns his keep in the village by working as an assistant under the village’s archivist and resident oracle, Deyadria Lynn, who has taught him a great deal despite her eccentric means of communication. Particularly, the most useful wisdom Deyadria has semi-coherently imparted upon is to always, regardless of the circumstance, keep an open mind.

As a result of this lesson, Amati was among the first of West Village who, though at first skeptical, embraced the new found knowledge that the Elders themselves are not the gods they purport to be. In the days since, he has found the resolve within himself to push past tradition in order to find out exactly what the Elders are and, and more importantly, why they’ve kept this grand facade going for as long as they have. Amati hopes that with this information in tow, he can help lead his community to a genuinely independent and free future.

Appearance

Well Dressed Debonair

Amati is always well composed and even better dressed. He wears a clean white smock tucked into his trousers, all wrapped up with suspenders. His boots are always impeccably polished, shining just as brightly as his smile.

Clean Cut & Gallantly Groomed
Amati keeps his thick brown hair in a side parted undercut with streaks of dark cerulean running through it. He likewise rocks an elegant mustache and soul patch combination which is always perfectly trimmed and oiled.

An Unreliable Assistant
Accompanying Amati at all times is a small animated pen carrying a small bucket-like inkwell. The pen, whom he refers to as VHP, writes down whatever Amati dictates to it, but infrequently takes on a mind of its own or spills ink everywhere.

Beneath the Surface
Despite his well kept appearance, Amati exhibits a number of the hyena-like features, similar to his brother's, but more subtle. A keen observer would notice his longer than average canines, surprisingly sharp nails, and the shaved down tufts of fur around his ears.

Speaker Abilities

Player Intrusions

Friendly NPC

An NPC you don’t know, someone you don’t know that well, or someone you know but who hasn’t been particularly friendly in the past chooses to help you, though doesn’t necessarily explain why. Maybe they’ll ask you for a favor in return afterward, depending on how much trouble they go to.

Perfect Suggestion

A follower or other already-friendly NPC suggests a course of action with regard to an urgent question, problem, or obstacle you’re facing.

Unexpected Gift

An NPC hands you a physical gift you were not expecting, one that helps put the situation at ease if things seem strained, or provides you with a new insight for understanding the context of the situation if there’s something you’re failing to understand or grasp.

Special Abilities

Anecdote

2 Intellect points

You can lift the spirits of a group of creatures and help them bond together by entertaining them with an uplifting or pointed anecdote. For the next hour, those who pay attention to your story are trained in a task you choose that’s related to the anecdote, as long as it’s not an attack or defense task.

Action to initiate, one minute to complete.

Demeanor of Command

2 Intellect points

You project confidence, knowledge, and charisma to all who see you for the next hour. Your demeanor is such that those who see you automatically understand that you are someone important, accomplished, and with authority. When you speak, strangers who are not already attacking give you at least a round to have your say. If speaking to a group that can understand you, you can attempt to have them produce their leader or ask that they take you to their leader. You gain a free level of Effort that can be applied to one persuasion task you attempt during this period.

Action to initiate.

Encouragement

1 Intellect point

While you maintain this ability through ongoing inspiring oration, your allies within short range ease one of the following task types (your choice): defense tasks, attack tasks, or tasks related to any skill that you are trained or specialized in.

Interaction Skills

You are trained in two skills in which you are not already trained. Choose two of the following: deceiving, persuading, public speaking, seeing through deception, or  intimidation. You can select this ability multiple times. Each time you select it, you must choose two different skills.

Community Knowledge

(2 Intellect points)

If you've invested yourself in a community and have spent at least a few months living there, you can learn things about it through a variety of methods.
