What is prophecy? Many wonder, as there are those that seemly can gleam into the future and predict certain outcomes. Is free will true or a mere illusion we have talked ourselves into.
What some of the more competent and knowledgeable divination experts will tell you that Fate is not a static thing, it's akin to an ocean. It has stronger or weaker currents, it has storms, it has shallower parts where we can all see in and it has parts that are so deep that only those that have learned to see without eyes can find their way around.
Souls are like the fish who swim in this ocean of existence, some are more aware and can use the currents to their advantage, avoid storms or even struggle against the natural forces. The vast majority though are merely slaves to causality and to those that can manipulate or predict it.
