Giants

Giants of the Flanaess come in many sizes and races, some with unusual quirks. Though an army of giants and humanoids conquered Bone March, they are not as a rule well organized. Most giants hate humanity, probably because they were driven into the mountains by humans.

Giantkind

Various types of giant exist, the most commonly-known being listed below.

Hill Giants — Hill giants are the most common sort, often inhabiting and raiding the outskirts of civilized lands.

Fire Giants — Heat-loving fire giants dwell in the volcanic areas of the Hellfurnaces.

Frost Giants — Frost giants live in the high, cold peaks of the Barrier Peaks/Crystalmists chain and the mountains of the subarctic Thillonrian Peninsula.

Fomorians — The cruel and grotesque fomorian giants are best known from the Howling Hills in the original lands of Iuz but can be found elsewhere.

Giant-Kin

Certain huge, wicked races gather only in loose bands that are highly unstable, though often large in size. Though not true giants, members of these races are strong and fierce, and some prefer to ally with or dominate other wicked folk rather than associate with their own kindred.

Trulent — The most vicious of these beings, trolls are without fear and often band together with the eiger.

Eiger — Ogres, stupid, huge, and murderous, readily join orcs to raid and plunder, and can also be found as guardians in gnoll dens.
