Billie and Henry start the first day of the school year. Principle Martin introduces them to their triple split-grade class.
At lunch, they both sit with the girls they met at the party, Unknown, Unknown, and Unknown, plus meeting Unknown for the first time.
After school, Henry goes to hang with the girls while Billie secludes himself in the music room with the upright piano. Reiji comes in, introducing himself and revealing a secret. He takes Billie to a boxcar where he has brought and hidden the Crystal. Billie touches the Crystal, receiving a vision, and they exchange the strange symbols they each had seen.
