Sunday, 13th September '87
Henry and Vicky take towards the place where Henry saw the first cubot. When they arrive at the road, a limo pulls up to them. Inside steps out Mr Sakurai, Ms Igarashi, and the large robot, Reiji. But no Billie.
Reiji tries to explain that something he said had upset Billie and he ran off.
Henry puts retrieving Reiji's body in priority. She, Reiji, Ms Igarashi, and Mr Sakurai drive to the funeral home, while Vicky and Yuki walk to meet them back at the factory.
They go in through the back into the mortuary, where the dearly departed are prepared for their wakes. Henry picks the lock with little experience, and gets it open, but little did she know that she tripped a silent alarm.
They find his body, already dressed in a suit, and take it out the door, only to meet a police cruiser pulling up.
Before they have a chance to react, Constable Fleming steps out and questions them.
Despite the truth sounding absurd, Henry convinces the officer to help them and escorts them back to the factory.
Mr Sakurai gets them inside with his own keys. They connect robo-Reiji to the computer and place his body on the table and the electrode cap on his head.
Just then a factory roboticist mistakenly walks in on the group, surprising him. They at first demand for his help. When he pleads for his family, he willingly complies.
Henry was about to press Enter, when a second Vicky bursts into the room. She orders them to stop and explains that it will not work. Because his body has not been functioning for so long, re-uploading his mind will render him a vegetable.
Present Vicky asks herself how many attempts it took to get to now, with her future self answering, "36" before whispering additional information, followed by, "You know what to do." Present Vicky then nods and leaves her future self in her place.
Robo-Reiji takes a moment to literally process this new information. He in turn accepts his fate and leaves on his own. The three other grown-ups take the body back to the mortuary.
Henry and Vicky go to Billie's house... to ask Mr Dean to go to the facility. Declined
Henry visits her friend, Unknown. Ask her dad to take her.
