Sturdy swamp-castle located near the northeastern edge of the Mere of Dead Men, its origins unknown.
In the 1300's DR times during which the Paladin of Helm Sir Justin Melenikus brought order and safety to the High Road and Mere of Dead Men from a base of operations in Iniarv's Tower, the recently-cleared castle became the relocated home of the Stargazer Academy (an all-female school of astrologers that began in Waterdeep). The castle once more fell into disrepair after the academy's disappearance, claimed as an outpost of the Cult of the Dragon in the late 1400's.
After the cult and its minions were driven out (see Tales of the Favored Few), the castle has been held by Lizardfolk, as mentioned in 3. Lizardfolk for Leilon.
