(Shortsword)

Extremely light weapon with a strange triangle-eye knob at the hilt. Powers created in the Forge of Spells. The item has three seeing powers, depending on how the knob is turned. Turning the knob from one to another will cancel all effects of the previous mode.

(Similar to 3rd level Divination) 

Scratch the symbol into the surface of a solid object (typically wood or stone). The symbol will appear as if smudged by a piece of charcoal. Any (even partial) erasure of the symbol ends the effect. The symbol will detect as magical.
Placing thumb over the symbol on the sword, concentrate to begin to see (visual only) from the inscribed glyph.

Receive an omen-response (weal, woe, both or neither) of the results of an action you would take in the next 30 minutes. Each additional inquiries on the same day will have +25% chance of a random response.

(5th level Divination)

Name a person, place or object of legendary significance and lore will come to your mind about the named subject.  The more you already know of the subject, the better the information. While accurate, the language of the response may be symbolic and figurative rather than literal, as are myths and legends.
