A vast and deep forest that has stood since the most ancient times of elves, dragons and giants. The region secludes many mysterious sites including entries into the Underdark, the ruins of The Netheril of legend, Karse, a stronghold called the Hall of Mists guarded by the monstrously huge treant called Grandfather Tree, and the Dire Wood - an enchanted forest of black petrified trees impervious to harm and rippling with Wild Magic.
Others include:
- The Shadowtop Cathederal meeting place of the Emerald Enclave
- The Temple Beyond Time (to the Elf Lord of the Continuum)
- The Stone Stand, a menhir stone circle devoted to nature deities.
- The Hellgate Dell, ruins of an elven city once taken over by demons, then destroyed
- The home of many treants in Turlang's Wood
