Said to be ancient and carry memory of a High Elf kingdom (or even Eladren?) that once held power in the region, she is now only known as the White Inquisitor, and wholly embody the nature of the Frostmaiden's cruelty and isolation. One tale claims she travels between ice caves she makes as her homes (or lairs?) where she collects things - and people - frozen into silent and unmoving exhibits.
As the Everlasting Winter came to be, she has been quick to stir up the Children of Auril fanatics among the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale, ensuring the sacrifices are made and the cold hand of the Frostmaiden Auril is never far from any beating hearts of the Frozenfar.
After the Desolation
(See Ten little Towns). The White Inquisitor has retreated from prominent public appearances as was a regular show of force before the burning of the towns. She will show up suddenly and terrifyingly - particularly to intervene in over-zealous retribution against the Frost Druids. In single confrontation, no other prominent Ten Town individual seems on par with her in power - though she has only confronted one of the Arcane Brotherhood- Vaelish Gant, who has always dealt with her with absolute caution.
