The library-fortress-city of Candlekeep sits upon a rocky outcropping at the southern tier of the Sword Coast, and is perhaps the world's greatest vault of knowledge. Strongly defended, the library holds the strictest of laws and requirements (to gain library entry one must donate a volume deemed significant by the scholars called the Avowed - that is also unique to the library, not replicating its current records).
