Belgrano is one of the 48 neighborhoods of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and one of the most important commercial centers in the city. It was a town, city, federal capital (for a brief period) and then a neighborhood when it was legally absorbed by the Municipality of Buenos Aires. It is located in Comuna 13.
Belgrano is characterized for being a middle and upper class neighborhood, of great commercial and residential importance.
The neighborhood is widely known for hosting the Mâs Monumental Stadium of Club Atlético River Plate, despite the fact that many popular beliefs erroneously hold that the stadium is located in the neighboring neighborhood, Núñez.
