Pearce's family has run the general store in Mossgrove for generations—well, two or three of them. At any rate, they've been well-established enough for anyone to easily dismiss the occasional rumor that there's more being sold at his store than dry goods... At least, until his bloodied body was found on the property. Now the residents are left to wonder just what could have motivated someone to turn violent on such a jolly fellow—and, of course, whodunnit.
