The Formationist Calendar

27 Deadleaf, 4147

The Formationist Calendar is the primary calendar system used across Tide, and was created by religious group named The Formationists who later became The Church of the Pantheon. The calendar has spread to most corners of The Known World due to it's simplicity.

A year is 360 days long, The Formationists split this into 12 months of 30 days. Weeks are 6 days long (so a month has exactly five weeks, and each date always falls on the same day of the week).

See this calendar's Entity Notes for information on the ages and date formatting.

See the Timeline for a list view of this calendar.

The Ages

The years are divided into commonly recognised ages:

  • The Age of Formation (FR), 1262 years
  • The Age of Trials (TR), 1494 years
  • The Age of Old Kingdom (OK), 603 years
  • The Age of Conquest (CQ), 236 years
  • The Age of Union (UN), present

To convert the full year to the current age (Age of Union), subtract 3598 years from it. To convert to an Age of Union year to the full year, add 3598 years to it. You can convert years with the Tide date converter here.
