Orcs are common in Tide but rarely as a playable character, you should consult with your DM if you wish to play an orc. Orcs are fairly diverse in appearance with their skin tone and features being indicative of their ancestral home.

In the north of Theder and along the Barrier Mountains, darker grey almost stone-like skin among orcs is common. These orcs are also considered more hardy than their southern counterparts.

Orcs in Lagatpulgoruz have more green-tinged skin and are generally slightly shorter in stature. With more freedom from persecution, Lagatpulgoruz orcs have had chance to develop culturally: artistic expression and more intricate decorative clothing is not uncommon.

The few orcs who make their home in Pauviel are wirier and more lithe than most: their lives are spent on the run, moving from place to place to avoid Tirismalos.

Geographical Distribution

  • Lagatpulgoruz (Abundant): Orcs are abundant across the entire country
  • Pauviel (Rare): Orcs are very rare in Pauviel, and are generally hated by the elves and hunted indiscriminately
  • Theder (Uncommon): Orcs are uncommon in Theder, though sometimes tribes break the border with Lagatpulgoruz and raid towns in the south. Orcs also live in the northern parts of Stormwood in the foothills of the Barrier Mountains
  • Thorne (Rare): Orcs are rare in Thorne, most have been driven north from Pauviel or Theder
