Doresain is a demon lord, and father of all Ghouls and Ghasts. He resides in a layer of The Abyss, in a demi-plane that he rules over: The Pallid Throne. Doresain's goal is to overrun the material planes with Ghouls, devouring all life; he created the demon Maurezhi to aid in this work.
Legend says that Doresain was once an Elf who worshipped Orcus, shunning society and devouring the flesh of his fellow elves. Orcus rewarded Doresain with immortality, turning him into the first Ghoul.
