The Dead King's War

War
3317-3-1

The The Dead King's War was was a war between KonungdómrThe High Court of Pauviel, and later tribespeople in Thorne. It led to the complete destruction of The Old Kingdom.

Between 550OK–560OK (3307–3317), tensions had started to mount between Konungdómr and Pauviel again. In 560OK (3317), Dafid Morgunatall mounted a full strike against Pauviel’s farming belt, aiming to take more land and push back the border. The elven country was prepared this time, trenches were dug and central Tide around The Maestro Mountains became a war zone.

In 598OK (3355), Dafid Morgunatall was tiring of his war in the east and sent troops into the north to claim territory in Thorne. Not a single soldier returned from Thorne and thousands were lost. This turned the King's own population against him.

In 604OK (3361), the King was assassinated. The assassin was never caught, and historians are still uncertain whether Pauviel or his own people were responsible.

Pauviel pushed their advantage over the following month and took lands all the way up to the Maestro Mountains, forming Aluram. The elvish army also took the northern towns of Vandekirk and Antaur.

Eventually Pauviel declared the war ended. Alliances are made between them and several of the Petty Kingdoms that formed along the border.
