Donavich is the priest of the village of Barovia. When the characters meet him, he has been praying throughout the night, attempting to release his son Doru from his vampiric condition. His voice is hoarse and weak. He is, in a word, insane. Donavich prays day and night, hoping that the gods will tell him how to save Doru without destroying him.
