Airden was an elven poet who lived in the First Age, predating the Dark Times by several hundred years. Some of his poetry has survived to current times, and is highly regarded by both elves and non-elves. He is rumored to have spent over 100 years writing his most famous poem, Drops of Rain. There are several books of haiku style poems bearing his name, though there is some debate as to whether he authored them, or if they were just attributed to him later on. Regardless, Airden's influence on the world poetry and literature is expansive.
