Lionel is a scientist hailing from the Rivain area. Family home is Hurstwood Hall He has a mechanical arm designed at great expense by a gnome inventor. His arm was bitten off by a strange beast when he was a small child. He has been fascinated with creatures ever since. He asks the party to go out on various expeditions to research local fauna for his yet unpublished book: “The Stratford-Cavendish Almanac: Creatures & Beasts of the Nordmark. This book is Lionel’s final project for admittance into the Academy of Natural Philosophy.
Lionel’s father is Sir Hedworth Stratford-Cavendish, Earl of Whiteport. Earl Whiteport is also the Viscount of Hurstwood, which has been granted to Lionel as a courtesy title.
