Alek (37), and Eliza (31) are the most recent in a long line of Bowmores to live at the estate. Both are finely dressed, in an almost courtly style, have the impeccable manners. Both Alek’s and Eliza’s hair is turning a distinguished grey, despite their young age. Despite what most people might think, they are not married, but in fact are brother and sister. Alek is fiercely protective of his sister, while at the same time seeking to find her a suitable husband. Eliza is more interested in growing the family fortune and hasn’t the time for romance. Their father, Cahill Bowmore has been dead for about five years now, and he left the distillery and grounds to his two remaining children, Alek and Eliza. This is somewhat to the chagrin of Alek, who expected to inherit the estate entirely, but must instead content himself to sharing with his sister. Alek has never said this, but part of his desire for Eliza to be married is so that he can wrest control of the other half of the estate from Eliza.
Alek lived on the mainland for much of his life, going to school near Valoria, and only returned upon the death of his father, Cahill. Eliza, while she has traveled, has lived on the estate her entire life. Alek wishes the estate was closer to Valoria, and Eliza hopes that he doesn’t ruin their family’s legacy.
