Investing

First, determine what level of store you would like to invest in. The general categories are as follows:

You can then invest, build, or buy.

Invest: player can invest 10% of Business worth into an existing business in exchange for a discount and a small cut of profits.

Build: Player can choose to start a business by supplying funding for a local entrepreneur. Initial investment of 2000 GP to get it up and running as a Stall. Players receive 50% discount on wares created by the shop, crafting time is divided by 10. For the first 6 months, players receive half of performance payout per month in order to get the business up and running then full payout after that. Player can choose to upgrade their storefronts to shops or stores by investing more gold (2000 and 7000 Gold respectively).

Buy: A player can buy an established business outright for the business worth plus 50%. They immediately gain the full payout in exchange for the higher purchase price. Same crafting rules apply as building business.


Roll a d20:

1: Bankruptcy. Invest 50% of the store value or lose the store.

2 - 5: Disastrous. Lose 10% of the store value. If you have invested, you gain no payout. 

6-9: Mediocre. Break even. No payout.

10-14: Good. Gain 5% of the store value.

15-19: Great. Gain 10% of the store value.

20: Awesome. Receive a buyout offer for 200% of store value, and lose the store, OR gain 50% of the store value and keep the store
