Makao'an are lizard-like humanoids, with long tails, sharp claws, and scaled bodies. Makao'an society revolves around the concept of Ma'Ko, which can best be described as honor or soul. All Makao'an strive to increase their personal Ma'Ko, and this can be done through craftmanship, supporting the tribe, or defeating a rival with greater Ma'Ko. Makao'an have an innate ability to sense the Ma'Ko of all creatures, but what this truly means is not well understood.
