Nestled in the rolling hills atop dashing cliffs facing the eastern sea, the Monk's retreat had been built in honor to the earth goddess Theia. Using her earthen magic and years of alchemical study, the brewmasters of Theia began making the finest craft brews. Led by Brewmaster Klaus during the events of the third continuum crisis, the isolated coven of brewers were subjected to intense psychological brainwashing by the order of tech-priests from Alpia. Sending their fanatical gearhead sorcerers, the brewmasters fell stricken by their hypnotic torture. After some time, they were rescued and freed of their brainwashing after killing the infiltrators from Alpia and breaking their own mental prisons themselves.
