As one of the youngest and lesser cult members, Petrick was outwardly more of a timid character who reserved to himself but maintained a cruel reputation as the cult assassin disposing of unwanted attention and suitors. As a master at deception and trickery, Petrick allured many to their early graves due to the cults goals. He too received a vision of infinity calling to him and immediately ran from his home in the countryside of Mezcal before beginning his journey to make a pact with this being. Meeting Strivik DeVille, the eccentric council aide in Volesk, he was adopted into the DeVille family and treated as almost a son to Strivik. After falling in love with the same halfling woman as his elder Strivik, Violet, the two grew resentful and bitter towards eachother. After being rejected to his face, Petrick flew into a rage and murdered Violet before turning Strivik's betrayal into his master Kalekai.
