TABLETOP CHARACTERS WITHOUT A CAMPAIGN? Basically. These characters were originally created for a variety of games i’ve joined or ran, whether as pcs or npcs, but at this point i’ve grown fond of them enough to make them characters in their own right and can function as fandomless ocs in tabletop-esque verses and high-fantasy worlds. Their backstories are flexible enough to mold to whatever is needed.
EDITION? I am familiar with D&D 5e and Pathfinder 1e, and all of these characters have builds in one or both schematics. These characters are made to be compatible with high fantasy and such tabletop-esque situations, and do not strictly follow a particular world setting. Consider them the same as NPCs, even if they may have originally been a PC. The Pathfinder statblock is the default, with 5e being an alternative.
LEVELS? STATS? While I’ve given them specific levels, I'm not hard-set to them. They will grow as roleplays go along, and gain abilities accordingly. Stats are done via standard dice-roll (r4d6dl), and pathfinder’s stats and classes are the default. I’m not following Adventurer’s League or anything for official play, but I am following official material, as well as Tome of Horrors. Beyond that, I’m erring on the side of ‘what works best for the character archetype’ as far as builds go.
RULES? HOMEBREW? I’m fairly new at GMing on my own, but I’ve done quite a bit of co-GMing and am familiar with the rules enough to feel comfortable playing within them, and have other more experienced GMs I trust to fall back on incase of any questions. If anything, i have a chronic NPC creation issue. I tend to steer away from homebrew, and fall back on pathfinder/3.5 rules whenever possible.
CONTENT WARNINGS. Pathfinder and D&D lore can go to some pretty hecking dark places. There may be unsavory topics. I am no stranger to uncomfortable and dark topics and don’t shy away from them. Despite this, I have no intention to go into detail, nor will I go out of my way to seek that type of content out. I intend to treat all such topics with the maturity or gravity they should be handled with.
