Satsuki is a highly energetic girl that is strong-willed and passionate, who never forgets to smile and make jokes, no matter how serious the situation is. She has a childish style of speaking and sometimes refers to herself in third person. She often inserts silly remarks in conversations, making her unpredictable and a "person who makes you tired by just talking with". She, along with her family, performed in a world-famous circus troupe. Perhaps due to her talent as a clown, Satsuki can perform many different acts: flying dishes as an example. However, Satsuki describes that she isn't as good as her siblings, saying that she's the weakest clown in her family. Along with Haruhiko and Teruya, she's one of a trio of bright, light-hearted idiots.
However, despite her nonsensical attitude and certainly not being the brightest bulb in the box, she's shown herself to be highly attuned to the mood of those around her - leaping instinctively into the fray in an attempt to keep everyone's moods up and finding a ray of hope no matter what darkness despair might bring. She's also shown to have a very grounded head on her shoulders when it comes to the bigger picture, in spite of her rather nonsensical and unpredictable behavior. She makes a point of trying to keep the mood up, her bubbly personality a bright ray of sunshine that is infectious to those nearby. In spite of her behavior, she's not dumb or ignorant about the gloomy situation she's found herself in. She's aware of the stakes, she's aware of the consequences, she's well aware that she could die at any moment. And she's never once denied those facts, or even tried to downplay them. She's well aware them, and she's readily already accepted them for what they are.
She knows, and she doesn't care.
These people are her friends. She's not going to hurt them. She's going to make sure they keep a bright outlook and find the best way forward for everyone. So what if this bear is trying to push them into murdering each other? It clearly wants them to wallow in the despair of loss and hopelessness, but as a clown, those exact traits are incompatible with her. She whole-heartedly believes that the situation is simply is what it is - they can't currently change it, so the only option is to look forward and find a way to do it themselves. Hope is created, not found. Perhaps she might omit the details or try to solve these things in her own special way, but even if it's just due to pure gut instinct, she won't think twice about doing the right thing - even if it means sacrificing herself for the sake of others.
... which is exactly what she does, in the end. Having been put in an inescapable room with no food until a murder occurs, she along with Haruhiko - her best friend, her assisting act (her boyfriend, though neither properly remember it thanks to the memory wipe the entire class was subjected to) - plot to sacrifice themselves in order to free the other surviving classmates. Even though Haruhiko tried to muddle the crime scene in his dying moments so that Satsuki alone would continue to survive in the end, reawakening feelings for Satsuki prompting him to try and save her despite their agreement that this plot was for the class's survival... Satsuki willingly gave herself up - unable to knowingly sacrifice the lives of the others just to save her own, allowing Monokuma to execute her joining Haruhiko in the afterlife.
Her execution and parting words left a large impact on the remaining survivors, properly strengthening their resolve so that they could bond together without bickering amongst themselves like they had been previously, and face the mastermind properly with a unified goal.
Her ghost still lingers, having resounded in the minds of survivors on occasion when they happened to get close to the boundary between life and death. Upon following Haruhiko into the afterlife she's regained her lost memories that the mastermind stole from the class, and though she has mixed feelings towards the outcome of the entire ordeal - one of the people she died to save turned out to be the one who plotted their murders after all - she accepts that the entire situation is what it is. She cannot change it, they cannot change it - they can only move forward and do what they think is right.
The location of her body, along with the bodies of the other classmates lost to Monokuma's game, is unknown - the sci-fi-esque pod it was stored in lost to sea following the destruction of the place they were imprisoned.
