Rascar hops into the main dining area where the skeletons sitting at the table suddenly attack. Together the party kill the monsters and walk into the runic room after resting. Walking into the ice cell Rascar and Zee (Zameia) Dusk start picking up gold coins off the floor. The rest of the party quickly find Lil Greg's dead body and carry him out of the ice cave, trying to revive him to no avail. Zee tries to speak with The Traveler and gets no answer, however, dagger vibrates by her side pulling her towards it. She quickly cuts her hand on the blade whilst no one is watching and suddenly he comes back to life. With Greg in tow, the party walk back to The Swift Hatchet to have the town's cleric look over Greg and make sure he is okay.
At the tavern, Huski and Rascar have a talk about responsibility and how they feel that the party is a 'liability'.
In the evening Zee and Greg flight a little yet Zee quickly comes to realise that although his intentions are pure and sweet, he really doesn't interest her. She quickly leave him alone and heads upstairs, falling asleep on the end of Rascar's bed clutching her bag. Zee starts to dream and finds herself in an ornate garden, beautiful and refined, yet it feels familiar. This is where she grew up, chasing Neph around the garden and playing games. She runs inside to the kitchen and picks at some of the bread on the kitchen table. Turning around she sees the boy of smoke...
"You did well today..."
Zee suddenly wakes and wakes up Rascar to tell him of her dream. Despite being extremely late in the evening they head downstairs into the tavern to talk. As an experiment, Rascar holds onto the dagger which makes Zee panic. A full fight breaks out between them as Rascar refuses to hand back the dagger, waking the rest of the party as they fight and argue. Running from Zee, Rasc ends up on the roof of the tavern with the rest of the party quickly following. Rascar begs Zee to ignore the possessive dagger however she still tries to get it.
In a last-ditch attempt, Roscar changes himself to look like Zee whilst holding the dagger.
"Do not do this to yourself Zee, you are stronger than this..." - Rascar
He plunges the dagger into his chest and suddenly everything becomes clear for her. Zee rips the dagger out of Rasc and throws it off the side of the building with the two of them quickly collapsing into the snow, with Rascar waking ance healed; Zee though alive does not wake. Raine goes into shock as a wave of PTSD rushes over her and she admits that she hates being charmed.
The boys put Zee to bed (in Rascar's bed) and Rascar passes out next to her. In the morning he wakes first, with Zee in his arms.
After breakfast the rest of the party looks for the dagger whilst Zee sits in the Tavern and recovers. Greg comes into the tavern full Bard get-up and it is a look... He tries to talk to Zee but she is not at all interested as she processes last night's events.
Grey meets with Benedict Youngman and gets given a poem about the Yule Cat.
The party all come back together and come up with a plan.
- Give everyone in the town something to wear for Dawn Winter
- We need a reason for them to wear this..
So Greg and Zee decide to write a Dawn Winter carol together whilst the others create patches of protection/love.
