The party decide to work together and create festive pocket squares to help protect the citizens of Hillfar. Zee and Greg work on a Dawn Winter song to help get everyone's spirits up. Greycoat starts an event committee with Greg, Frederick, Edmond and Fira.
Together, the party travel back out to The Witch's Hut, where Raine enters first. As she enters she suddenly disappears from sight. Raine sees a woman wrapped in a red shawl...
"Hello dear...' - The Hillfar Witch
The Hillfar Witch makes Raine a cup of tea and asks her to sit down.
"You have such short vision. Do you know how old this forest is? I want to bring balance..." - The Hillfar Witch
The Witch questions Raine about her dragon born heritage, asking about the Ravinites
"If you stop me, I will kill you...' - The Hillfar Witch
The Witch offers to stop causing issues if we make all of the humans leave the town of Hillfar.
The party go to Witch's Ritual Cave and Zee takes a rubbing of one of the runes. Greycoat and Rascar do some secret stuff and after we all step inside the runic centre. Rascar places the Orb on the alter. They get Zee to start chanting in infernal. She reads four of the runes; Path, Forget, Bind & Open. Suddenly a bolt of lightning hits Greycoat and Rascar who were standing in the middle of the runic circles. She then activates darkness and betrayal. As soon as the runic circle completes a laugh suddenly echos from behind the party.
"Thank you dears, you have done the work for me" - The Hillfar Witch
Suddenly arcs of lightning hit the party causing them to flee and destroy the cave as they run. The party run back to Hillfar and go back to The Swift Hatchet.
Arriving at the tavern, Raine keeps watch out the window. Greycoat tries to contact Mab, whilst holding the orb. His vision takes him to a forest where he sees Valantyne chopping wood with blood splattered on the ground. Grey asks about the orb and Rascar's prize. His vision suddenly stops.
Raine sees green eyes out the window and hears a growl. In the shadows, there are humanoid figures, the Zee catches a glimpse of the Yule Cat as runs off, disappearing into the night.
The next morning, the party have breakfast in bed in their separate rooms.
Level Up
Greycoat and Huski go looking for plants. Raine plays with some local children and uses her new abilities to jump between shadows. Zee and Rascar walk around the markets and talk to Greg. Greycoat finds his Raven companion Quoth, a large black raven.
The Dawn Winter celebrations start as the sun sets, with the villagers lighting the town with lanterns. A large bonfire is lit and the party are all given a paper mountain animal. Together they all say a wish and throw them into the fire. Zee and Greg play an amazing set, entertaining the village with their jovial music. The whole party is then brought on stage and thanked by the village.
Together, the party decide to take Bahaa up here to live with Edmond and Arelen.
During the night Greycoat gets a Silver Acorn with a note inside.
Come one, come all, to delight in a night of feasting. The Knight shall come when you least expect it.
In the morning the party promises to come back before heading back to Nicodranas.
As the party travel down the hill, they go via the Unknown Sylvan City where the party first saw the Yule Cat. Outside the village, the party find a tent set up where a man in similar robes to Raine steps out. There is a second human who quickly introduces themselves as Fayroy and Nokon. A third emerges from the forest, a white dragonborn who knows Raine. He introduces himself as Tomik Sen, Raine's BROTHER! They look similar and very much like siblings. Raine is terrified and does not know who he is so she runs off a little panicked and Tomik offers to have the party stay at the camp for lunch.
