Intro

Along the edge of the Trackless Sea, lies the coast that sees its fair share of war and conflict, the Sword Coast. Many have come and tried to take this part of the land along the Forgotten Realms, be it travellers and raiders from across the sea to settlers from across the land trying to make claim to the bountiful riches that are found across its reach. Only a few towns and one city stand now.

The town of Leilon to the south, its people constantly swayed by the allure of the mere, sending many who travel near it be lead to their doom. Very few live there due to the influence of the mire, but the few that can withstand its charm and allure of the mire do their best to guide and help travelers, hoping they do not meet the same fate of their former townsfolk. The city of Neverwinter lies to the north of the coast, being the main port before heading out across the Trackless Sea, further north to the frozen expanse or further south towards Waterdeep and the impressive city of Baldur's Gate, trading between them and supplying the neighbouring towns such as Leilon and Phandalin as well as the smaller dwellings that the smaller town can't effectively operate from.

Yet the town of Phandalin, a mining settlement that trades with both the hunters and denizens of Neverwinter Wood as well as the dwarves and miners of the Sword Mountains, it was one that has been reclaimed by people wanting the trade that once came out of the region, with talks of reclaiming the town of Conyberry, rengerizing the trail as a trade route once more. It's trade, mainly in minerals from the mines at the mountains and hides and meat from hunters, allows it to be self sufficent to a degree only relying on other essentials that the town needs that it cant find or make itself. However a worrying call came up as sighting from the town reached both Neverwinter and Leilon asking for help from both the town and the surrounding areas, with very few details coming through about the actual issues, adventures answered the call and moved to see what dangers awaited them in Phandalin.
