The Great Pack is a nomadic pack of lycanthropes and worgs led by Warlord Zaeurl. They roam and hunt in southern Droaam, in particular in the Watching Wood, though they occasionally range out further than that. The pack is usually referred to as the "Gaa'Zaeurl" or "Children of Zaeurl" in Droaam, but members of the pack use this term to refer specifically to the werewolves within the pack, some of which are literally Zaeurl's children.
The Church of the Silver Flame holds lycanthropes high in the hierarchy of evil, and would utterly destroy the Pack if given the chance. Given this, the pack goes to great lengths to keep their existence hidden, and generally leaves no survivors when they attack in order to prevent word (or lycanthropy) spreading.
Many of the members of the Pack are natural lycanthropes descended from survivors of the Silver Crusade, and some of them have spent their entire lives in their beast form, never shifting into a humanoid form. The Pack migrated from the Eldeen Reaches, south into Droaam about 30 years ago, laying claim to the Watching Wood and making it clear they just wanted to be left alone.
Given the danger that the Church of the Silver Flame presents to these lycanthropes, Zaeurl leaped at the Daughters of Sora Kell's offer of sanctuary if they joined Droaam, and the Pack is now one of the sister's most loyal supporters. There is tension between the Great Pack and the Znir Pact, as the Znir suspect that the lycanthropes are vulnerable to the influence of The Wild Heart, something that has been validated by the events of the Droaam Summit.
