Lakashtai is a mysterious Kalashtar who interfered after Daine was incapacitated by the changeling Monan.
She had previously met Daine at the King of Fire, during his investigation into Rasial Tann. When she heard that he'd been involved in a psionic attack, she investigated. When she worked out what had happened, and what would happen if she didn't get involved, she entered Daine's dream and killed the invading consciousness, storing the echo of it in a crystal, which she left at Daine's bed side.
The party met her while investigating Monan, where she explained what had happened with Daine and Hugal/Monan. She offered to examine Daine's memories for information, asking for only 50 gp and a kiss from Kalshana.
