The King of Fire is the largest tavern in Hareth's Folly, and gets its name from the most common deck of playing cards used in Khorvaire, with one of each of its four suits tied to an element. The architecture is strange and igneous, incorporating a lot of black stone and brass, and continual flame spells have been placed into fixtures all throughout the building, including within the furniture.
It makes steady business with gambling, and half a dozen card games are playing out at any given time. The tavern is owned by the halfling Lat Horasca, who was previously a Glidewing Jockey in the Race of Eight Winds, who won it in a game of cards. It's mostly run by his wife, Kela d'Ghallanda, who manages the day-to-day affairs of the business. Things can get rowdy in the King of Fire, so they've also hired an ogre, Korrla, who is an excellent bouncer.
