Ghaji was originally from the Shadow Marches, raised in Zarash'ak as a member of Clan Torrn. His clan has close ties to the Gatekeepers, and it was these ties that eventually led Ghaji into the Eldeen Reaches over 30 years ago, where he was bitten by a werewolf.
It could have been a disaster, but he met an elven woman who helped him to control his inner beast. When she offered him acceptance in her pack, he couldn't refuse. He has been one of Zaeurl's most reliable supporters since.
