Count Tharsul ir'Taggert is a Karrnathi noble and diplomat. Like all Karrns, he served in the military, but he remained within the army for many years longer than the 2 year mandatory service required. Tharsul believed in the dream of Galifar and what the kingdom represented, and he was very much aware of it's origins in Karrnath. He supports King Kaius, even if he believes that ultimately Karrnath would've won the war, in suing for and maintaining peace. Destroying the continent with war won't bring Galifar back.
Like many of Karrnath's citizens, Tharsul opposed the nation's use of undead during the Last War. He believed that the martial spirit of Karrnath and their superior martial training would have carried them to victory eventually, but he also acknowledges that even with the use of undead that Karrnath took heavy casualties during the war. He was one of the nobles that supported King Kaius in pursuing peace.
Perhaps due to these beliefs, Tharsul was chosen to represent Karrnath at the Droaam Summit in 999 YK.
