Dorius Alyre ir'Korran was a gnome scholar that lived approximately 3000 years ago. He famously founded the Library of Korranberg and was a follower of the Church of the Wyrm Ascendant.
Dorius was obsessed with the theory that the Sovereign Host were ascended dragons, and that this indicated anybody could ascend to take the place of a Sovereign. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge, in the hopes that he would accumulate enough information to supplant Aureon and become the Sovereign of Law and Lore.
Not only did Dorius found the Library of Korranberg, and in so doing also lead to Korranberg becoming the major power it is today, he also contributed to the libraries vast vaults personally. Dorius funded research into all manner of things, and even went on several expeditions around the world himself. He penned books on a wide variety of subjects, including the planes and even Khyber.
The Codex of All Mysteries was Dorius' magnum opus, a thick tome detailing the most intriguing things he discovered during his life. The Codex contains information on all of the planes of Eberron, many of the Overlord's, the mysterious Sphinx's, and all manner of other mysteries. Another famous tome penned by the scholar was the Inconnu, a focused look into the more malicious entities that call Eberron home.
