- The party arrive in Threshold, and Lozaal Daashor investigates the Dhakaani ruins there. He jokes that they've found Haad'rians Wall.
- Lozaal recognises the building material as Quickstone, a stone-like substance that changes state and consistency when exposed to certain magical energies.
- There isn't really anything for them to do in Threshold, and there's no inn for them to stay in. They set up their Tiny Hut in the Tents.
- Some of the locals approach Oargev, and the group learns a bit more about Threshold.
18th Vult, 999 YK
- They arrive in Graywall.
- Lozaal goes off to explore the city and get a feel for the populace. In particular, he notices the goblins here are culturally distinct from the other goblins he knows, and are afraid of him. He gets a lay of the land and finds out where the interesting things in Graywall are.
- The others go to Calabas and book rooms in the Golden Dragon Inn, and then meet up with Lozaal, who knows where everything is now.
- Lozaal explains his understanding of the "rules" in Droaam, which mostly amount to not killing people, not picking fights with Trolls, and not getting bitten by talking animals.
- It is courtesy when encountering an animal to ask them if they can speak.
- They go to the arena, and watch a game of Six Stones. Volunteering is closed until after the summit.
- They visit Sora Jabra, who claims to be an aunt of the Daughters of Sora Kell. Terfel Glas trades his next dream for a bottle of Red Dragon's Blood, even while the others dissaude him. They discuss the other drugs on sale, but don't buy any. Kal buys a bottled nightmare where their significant other cheats on them, and Warden buys one where a changeling gets stuck in human form.
- They also buy some health potions.
- As the others leave the tent, Lozaal loops back around and buy some nightmares privately. He buys a nightmare where someone pulls on a hangnail and opens their whole body like a zip, and another where a gnome in Sharn's pet cat-like thing dies.
- They then visit the Street of Shadows, and Kalshana enters the Eye of the Shadow and speaks to Zerasha. She says some cryptic things, and Kal leaves her watch as an offering.
- Zerasha then calls to "Akzu" and warns that the "Frigid Flame" is growing stronger as she does. Dax goes into the temple and talks to the priestess, who reveals that the Sacred Bell of Saint Cassia is in Flamekeep, possessed by someone Dax cannot remember.
- Zerasha also reveals that the "Frigid Flame" is afraid. Dax leaves a few teeth as offering.
- On their way back to the Kennels, they have a run in with Xor'chylic, the mayor of Graywall. There is a tense stand off between the mind flayer and Warden, who was restrained by the rest of the party. Xor'chylic diffused the situation and got Warden to repeat "I will not cause trouble in Graywall". Xor'chylic explains that they have no love of the Daelkyr, they are not the enemy.
- They go into the Bloody Tooth to find out what happened. The mayor came into the tavern and called out a specific goblin, "Kalakhesh of the Shaarat'khesh", and accused them of stealing from the Daughters of Sora Kell. The goblins neck then "exploded" and a medusa ran out of the tavern.
- Lozaal and Kal go down the alleyway that the mesusa ran down, which backs onto a Grist Mill. There is no sign of the medusa, but there is a pile of gore. He determines that something was eating the pile of gore, but is unsure what. There the tracks of a large feline creature nearby.
- Lozaal explains that he's interested due to the name of the goblin, and he leaves a couple of markers in discreet locations around the alley that he was there as a member of the Kech Volaar. The market emits a message when tapped by a creature, a Dhakaani greeting to identify each other, and says if they need help to leave a message.
Zerasha's Cryptic Musings
- There is a thorn in their side, and they would do well to keep an eye on it. These kind of things can fester if left unattended.
- She feels that her queen, the Queen of Stone, will have a role to play in what is to come. She cannot yet say what it will be, but Sheshka will be important.
- Hold your allies close, you're in a foreign land with foreign ways, and you never know who you can trust. Allies and enemies both can be found in unexpected places.
