Oceanview is a wealthy residential district in Upper Tavick's Landing. The manors in Oceanview are the most opulent on the east side of Sharn, and the residents take great care to isolate it from the rest of the city. Per the unique laws of Upper Tavick's Landing, gold is not enough to purchase a property in Oceanview, a prospective homeowner must also get at least thirty current residents of the district to sign a petition allowing them to purchase the property.
Oceanview is incredibly gentrified, and there is a lot of money in the district. Everyone who lives there is required to pay towards maintaining it, and in addition to the beautiful homes there are also several public gardens and parks, the most notable of which, Lavalla Park, has the best view of the ocean in all of Sharn.
The Grey House
The Grey House is one of the oldest mansions in Oceanview, best known for its complete lack of windows. The outlines of windows have been engraved into the walls, but the walls themselves are solid, a supposed artistic statement by the architect. The Grey House has been home to families from Karrnath for over 300 years, and though the people of Oceanview are generally xenophobic, the Karrns have made a place for themselves. The current lady of the Grey House is Lady Jesel Tarra'az, who has won over many of the district's inhabitants with her charisma.
