The Gaarta Tulkhesh, known to the Ghaash'kala as the Razor Wind tribe, serve Rak Tulkhesh, the Rage of War. They are one of the most dangerous forces in the Demon Wastes, but thus far their relatively small numbers have prevented them from attacking the Ghaash'kala in force. If this were to change, it would mean trouble for the Ghaash'kala, and Khorvaire at large.
Life in the Gaarta Tulkhesh is often short and brutal, their entire culture is founded on war and its pursuit. They have to fight, otherwise their patron deity will strip them of the only advantages that allow them to survive in the most hostile environment on Eberron. They must ever work in pursuit of conflict, the greater the better, their very existence depends on it.
Though much of the Razor Wind are nomadic and wander the Wastes in warbands, they have a permanent settlement in the Vale of Razors, in the far north of the Wastes. Their pact with the Rage of War allows them to manipulate the land in the Vale, forming rocky fortifications that protect them from the region's numerous dangers. The Bitter Shield draws close to Eberron in the Vale, and its influence drives the Razor Wind to pursue ever more violence. If they ever ceased in their servitude to their dark god, the land itself would destroy them.
