Godstones

About

The Godstones were thrust into existence during The Conflux when colossal bodies of rock crashed into the material plane, marking a pivotal moment in Enochia's history. Their arrival introduced a new dimension of spirituality and divine connection.

The first inhabitants of Enochia to ever lay hands on the stones were also the first to hear the voices of The Gods. This revelation led to the formation of new religious practices and belief systems. However, the presence of Godstones varied by region: some areas were blessed with multiple stones, while others had none. This disparity resulted in diverse interpretations of the divine, further complicated by the Emberstorms.

Characteristics

  • Conduits: Enable direct communication between mortals and the gods
  • Indestructibility: Godstones are known for their indestructible nature.
  • Association: Each stone is linked to a specific deity.
  • Sacred Sites: Revered as focal points for rituals or pilgrimages within various cultures.
  • Distribution: Unevenly scattered, with some regions having many stones and others having none, affecting cultural relationships with the divine.

Today

In the present day, Godstones remain crucial in the spiritual lives of many cultures. Their importance has sparked conflicts, with countless wars fought over access to these powerful stones. Regions lacking certain Godstones often view the gods as distant and mysterious, struggling to understand the divine's role in their lives.

Thus, the presence of Godstones remains a source of both reverence and contention in the ever-evolving tapestry of Enochia.
