About
Brackenburg is a fairly large town nestled in the rugged Highlands, under the juristiction of Pen Dara.

Due to its unique location inland, it sees frequent travelers and tradesmen traveling between Pen Dara and Dewfall, trying to avoid the sea and potential Sturgian raids.

The Hearthstone Inn
At the center of the city lies the Heathstone Inn. The inn is known for its excellent food, clean lodgings, and the lively camaraderie fostered by the owner, Brynja Saltstaff, and her outgoing nature.

The innkeep is well visited by travelers and townsfolk alike. If you were a fortunate visitor, you'd be met by the welcoming face of Noel Redmarch, who works as the Innkeep host and concierge.
At the bar, you'd occasionally find a talkative dwarf, Haldor Saltbeard, talking to anyone who'd be interested in hearing his stories, and if none are available, he'd often end up in the corner, sitting next to a towering female goliath Yngvid Heinjarr, who'd be perceptively looking across the room, drinking her ale in peace.

Nell's forge
Do you need your hammer repaired? Go to ol' Nells. Old Nell doesnt work much anymore but a goliath named Thjarna Flamesblood came into town recently and took up his old  forge.. And you can be sure that she knows her trade, be that a new horseshoe, or a broken sword.

The Hearthstone Inn

Brackenburg

The Hearthstone Inn is a quirky, four-story marvel of Highland architecture, teetering on the edge of imbalance as if it might tip over at any moment. Its stone exterior is worn but sturdy, with timber beams that crisscross and jut out in unexpected angles. The inn's roof, dotted with crooked chimneys, leans precariously, adding to its charm, while ivy and moss climb its walls, softening the structure's otherwise rugged exterior. A large, intricately carved wooden sign hangs over the door, with The Hearthstone Inn engraved in elegant script, illuminated by warm lanterns.

Inside, the inn’s common room hums with life. The massive hearth at the center casts a golden glow over low wooden beams, mismatched rugs, and rustic oak furniture. The room feels alive with the smell of roasted meats, warm ale, and pipe smoke. Stairs lead to the upper floors in a winding, maze-like fashion, with narrow hallways and hidden alcoves, giving the inn a sense of cozy disarray.

However, next to the bar behind a marvelous wooden door, lies a hidden treasure: a fine section reserved for only the most esteemed guests. The room beyond is a contrast of luxury—rich tapestries, plush seating, and an air of quiet elegance. It is a space for quiet conversations and refined tastes, where the inn’s most important patrons are granted a sense of privacy and exclusivity. The Hearthstone, despite its slightly crooked nature, offers comfort, warmth, and an atmosphere that balances both raucous charm and quiet refinement.
