Yngvid Heinjarr

Yngvid Heinjarr is a robust goliath matron of immense physical and mental strength. Long, coppery-red hair falls over her shoulders and across her hard face which betrays the many hardships she has overcome in her life. Her dress is simple, yet regal. She speaks directly when she can, and eloquently when she must. Her laughter thunders, flowing a place deep in her heart where hard trials must rest now and then to make room for the joys of life - for no beast finds peace under the whip alone, with no carrot to pursue.

Dwelling on life and destiny in her hut beyond a stream that swallows, a cliff that opens, and a garden that snares, Yngvid have settled in a place that can only be reached by those who are strong, and in true need of her expertise and advice.

She shares this home with a young mageling, Lonán Erlendsson, who hope to seek her counsel and guidance in order to become stronger, and she frequently meet with Thjarna Flamesblood, a close friend of hers that also hails from distant Rokaan. Despite her preference for keeping a bit of distance from the townsfolk, she holds them dear in her heart, and make sure to check in frequently enough to be more than merely a memory in their minds. When she does visit, she enjoys spending time with Noel Redmarch at the local inn, admiring her for her orderly handle on the establishment.

Yngvid finds that her presence must foster strength and self-reliance - yet, for the weak of mind and soul, her magical secrets promise an easy way out from a lesson that nature seeks to teach all of its children - that the strong prevail, and that strength can take many shapes and forms. But so can weakness. And thus, Yngvid beware of the signs that weakness leave behind in speech and action, tearing it up by the roots to plant strength in its place.

Despite her hard exterior, Yngvid is a fierce protector of her friends, insightful, jovial and friendly - but also ready to teach a lesson, harshly, when the times call for it. She can be motherly, even tender, when the time calls for mending of the soul. She is true to her word, and she does not abandon hope when things grow dark. She is a woman of principles, and she is not afraid to hold others up to their own ideals and destinies.

The only thing she truly can't stand and weather are... pussies.

Those that seeks soft solutions to hard problems. Those that back away from destiny. Those that choose the path of weakness, and abandon strength. Those that doubt, with shaking hands reaching for safety in comfort and plenty. Pussies. She can't stand them. They infect the world, and cause nothing but vile darkness.

She will be the light.
