Winter Kenku are a recluse race living the coldest, most uninhabitable parts of the realm also known as The Glass. Blackjack is from such a colony. The Acolytes of the Deep Voice is what they called themselves. The deep voice was the name given to the otherworldly energy that seemed to emanate from within the ice below. Blackjack was particularly attuned to the energy. Through the years, he seemed to gain knowledge and powers that his peers did not, and for that, they became jealous. Blackjack was exiled from his colony and grew to fear him. However, there was one who did not abandon him. The voice stayed ever present in his mind, guiding him to survive in the cruel environment. Blackjack began to see the voice as his only friend and partner. Together with his patron, his powers grew. Many days past of this semi-solitude life for Blackjack, until one day he saw the silhouette of some sort of vessel on the horizon. With the deep’s guidance, he flagged down the ship with several bright green blast of his eldritch might.

Here is where he encountered The Aces and their Captain, Heartless. Heartless did not hesitate to take him in granting Blackjack a new life away from The Glass.

The Jolly Roger

Blackjack participated in the rescue of Ryver when he failed to complete his quest. Alongside Natsuru and Deino Jormun, they dived into the waters to try and figure out what happened to him. They swam through what appeared to be ancient ruins with a large statue. After taking a moment of trying to identify the statue, he was able to figure out that it was some kind of religious deity. As to which deity, he was unsure. 

During the investigation, they were attacked by some Wereshark from The Hourglass Pirates. In the encounter, the enemies started to flee the scene prompting them to swim after them. They were led to the pirate hideaway where Ryver was kept in a hole. After a long combat with the crew, they were able to retrieve Ryver and return back to the ship where the Captain was having an encounter of his own.

The Forgotten Dragons

After the attack, The Aces set forth towards Divelinson where they were hired to taxi Princess Diana Voxville and her crew to Kawit. During their travels they were attacked by sirens and killer whales. Below deck, Blackjack and a few others had to maintain the stronghold of the hull and keep water from getting into the ship.

During the time The Voxville Escort Team had been present on the ship, Ryver was acting strangely. After the fight with the sirens, matters only got worse. In the night Ryver, along with other individuals gained control of the ship and kidnapped everyone aboard it. Blackjack was separated from the rest of the crew and his status remains unknown.
