The beggar was not far behind them as they started to approach the alley way. Chef, seeing the bird, grabbed a few rocks and decided that it was best to throw rocks at the bird. The beggar, questioned why they were attacking the bird. Not fully trusting the beggar by the sounds of it, they still followed him as he guided the group down into the alley. Walking further in, the beggar picked up a body snickered at the damage that has been done. He warned the party before disappearing through a cloud of smoke. Chef was able to see a symbol along the wall and a small line indicating a secret door. However, before doing anything the group was met face to face with four individuals.
Combat ensued between the group leaving three to be fairly damaged two more so than one. The four of them collapsed leaving a crowd and guard at the end of the hallway. The beggar, reappeared from within a wall to approach the crowd. With a wave of his hand, he enchanted and charmed the crowd to make it appear that they did not see anything. The crowd dissipated and the beggar gave them one final warning before walking off.
At the other end of the alley, Jo’han had found a small Tabaxi child who was crying for their mom and dad. Erato had calmed the child with his natural good looks leaving the child in awe and confused. They asked the child further questions to which they learned that they were with their mom and dad. They came from the academy and these people had come after them. The child thought that it was because their dad had books from the academy. The child ended up getting separate from their parents and was left in the alley where two people were in a scrapple. One had murdered another and left. Then the party showed up and the other four appeared.
Erato had taken the child and presented them to one of the guards who picked them up and carried the child away. The party investigated the space further and examined the dead bodies. One of them had a pin on in it from the Frecia Academy, the Crest of the Star. He hid it from the rest of the party as they all examined the bodies further. Each of the bodies had red veins covering them and a diamond crown tattooed on their heads. Their skin were a pale complexion and they had stitch marks on their body.
Jo’han investigated the wall after finding the mark. Eventually he was able to find switches and released the door to an access tunnel after Umbra had tried to sing the door a song to open. They all went through the tunnel and found themselves to be in a storage room in one of the buildings. Lying on one of the crates. The body was a smaller female close to the description they were given. She too was wearing a Frecia Academy Crest of the Star pin. Shiloh was able to recognize the pin and shared the details with the rest of the party.
They informed the authorities of what had happened and where the body could be located. Before questions could be asked the group had taken off to the teleportation portal to the academy. With Shiloh in the lead, the pin was placed into the key insert and the group was brought to the academy. The large stain glass gates stood before them with the gatekeeper house in front. They all approached as the large stain glass constructs came to life and questioned their business.
Shiloh proclaimed that they wanted to speak with the headmaster to share unfortunate information. Their request was denied, but it was shown that there were some issues with the constructs. The gatekeeper came forward, a small fey creature with a long tail and recognized Shiloh. They all filled out the proper paperwork, or so the gatekeeper thought they signed correctly….and proceeded to inform them of the rules and regulation of the academy. No weapons, no fights, no constructs allowed on the premises. Thus they were welcomed into Frecia Academy.
