Diana Voxville, current heir to the kingdom of Divelinson, was in search of those who would be interested in escorting her on an expedition. However, due to her father's backlash and current world affairs, her cries and pleas were often met with anger and fruit. During her most recent attempt to hire adventures she was met with a barrage of fruit in Noctilis. However, there were those within the crowd that wanted to inquire about a potential job. Gaius, Gidget, Edmund, Reno, and her friend Winston Constantine all approached her. Each one, interested in the job opportunity. Out of excitement she pulled out the terms and conditions. They must protect her at all cost, the job may cost them their lives, they need to understand the potential overarching threat. Diana herself would provide medical aid and accommodations and the group would be paid 1,000gp each. Each one signed the agreement and the documents were collected by her butler Adalric Norman. She asked if the group was ok with travelling with what she calls privateers. These privateers would be considered pirates in the eyes of others but she wanted to ensure that there was nothing to worry about. Nobody seemed to have any issues and thus the travel route was secured.
After some food and drinks, everyone turned in for the night after a night filled with introductions and getting to know one another. The eager Diana was already waiting for them while Adalric worked on the accommodations of the their carriage. One thing to note over the last few hours was of the lack of food Diana would eat. She proclaimed that it was part of a strict dietary habit due to the red medications she needed to consume.
Winston made a note to Edmund on how much Diana had grown, remember her to be a rather frail person when the two of them went to Frecia Academy of Magic together. She had become more mature as well. Before departing, Adalric and Diana had gotten into some kind of argument with one another in regards to her medication. This prompted Adalric to approach Gidget and warn her that he has eyes on them and he will show his wrath should anything happen to her.
As they were leaving town they overheard a town crier. The town crier called out the recent events that had occurred at the Academy where two students wound up dead. Edmund eased Diana's mind and insisted that they continued forward with the expedition. She complied and they were off.
During the travels, it was revealed that Winston had hijacked an airship and Gidget was part of The Dandelion Herd. Gaius and Diana were able to share a relatable moment with one another after she shared the amulet she kept close that was her mother's before she had passed.
The days seemed to move by quick before an incident had occurred where one of the horses pulling the carriage walked into a trap. The group was attacked by a band of bandits and they proceeded to work together to take them out one by one. Gaius aided the princess the best that he could but she was struck with a slash from the leader of the group. Gidget called out to Reno to help her as she fought off a tough opponent leaving her bleeding.
As the fight came to a conclusion there was a survivor. Gaius questioned the motives of their actions to which their response was that carriage was fancy and noticeable. Who wouldn't be attacking a royal princess after all and try for a hostage situation?
Diana still didn't drink the potion that Reno had pulled out for her but proceeded to heal the wounds of the horse so that they can continue moving forward to Kawit.
