The Synergy Group is a secret organisation led by Victor Welsh which proposes to aim to collect the fragments of the shattered god Lethe and to prevent the end of all worlds. It is currently located in a demi-plane on Lake Hawthorn just outside of Rhodskirke.
The party have joined with the group and have a somewhat tempestuous relationship with the faction as a whole.
History
The Synergy Group was started by Victor around twenty years ago after he broke up with The Ring Master and there was significant blowback from academia and religious groups upon his discussion of primordial gods and the threat thereupon.
It is somewhat unclear how many agents of the group are in the organisation but the group is mostly diffused throughout the Forgotton Realms, tracking down elements of the god and any significant artefacts that may prove useful.
Opposition
The Synergy Group has ran into a few opposing factions that do not like or trust the work being undertaken by the group. Bazsell from Rhodskirke in particular believes that the group is behind a lot of the nefarious goings on in the city-state. However, much of his theories are rejected as conspiratorial nonsense.
Parts of Lethe - like the Ring Master - also find the group to be a pain. Primarily, the reject the notion that they are trying to save the multiverse but instead are being duped into hastening its demise, a claim that Victor virulently rejects.
The Cult of T'Soarima dislikes the work that they are doing primarily as they believe that the birth and death and rebirth of the multiverse is inevitable and instead would prefer to celebrate the process.
