Eadwald - The Capital City of Eadwald

City

Eadwald is the capital of the Eadwald kingdom. The city is located on a river a couple of weeks north of the coast. It is doubled walled. Based on the tribute that comes in, it has amazing fortifications. They have not been tested in a long time, but they are impressive. The city has about 30,000 people leaving within its walls. Another 80,000 live and farm the areas around the city.

The Gate Ward:  The Gate Ward, a small spot inside the first wall of the City and is the main access to the City. It is one of the busiest parts of the city. The hustle and bustle can be intoxicating. Lots of merchants and industry catering to travelers. It is nicer than the adjacent Smoke Ward, is much nicer than the Outer Ward. The Smoke Ward: Smoke Ward, is where the smelting of the ore takes place. There tends to be a smelly has across the entire area. The Smoke Ward is loud with travel carts and visitors.

The Outer Ward: The Outer Ward is the area around the entire city just outside the City Walls. The worst parts are known as the Dung Wards. Animal poop from the nearby fields is brought in to be churned as used as fertilizer or fuel.

The Inner Ward: Entry to the Inner Wards is closely guarded to keep out riff raff. It is the area inside the inner wall. Merchant and Noble characters can be from here.

One of the smaller gates to the Inner Ward is called the Lothcat Gate. It is almost a private gate for the religious cast that live in temples on the Inner ward. It was built in honor of Iono.

Entertainment Ward:  Since Eadwald is a combination of a defensive city, helping to hold back the inhabitants of the demon zone to the north, and a capital city, its purpose is twofold. Unlike a typical defensive city Eadwald has a large entertainment district to appease the royals and upper-class citizens. In the very center of the district is a statue call Winged Justice.

There are many theaters in this district. A temple of Sendovani exists within the entertaining district.
