The kingdom and to a lesson degree the city of Eadwald are ruled by two ruling bodies, The King, and a house of parliament. Parliament is made up of three houses, Royal, Guild, and Church. They create laws that the king can enact or not. The main power they have is in they control the purse string for the entire Kingdom. If the King needs money to raise an army they must get it from parliament. Each house has some control over specific parts of the government.
House of Lords:
The house of lords controls the military. They are solely have the mandate to maintain military troops within the Kingdom. They have all the knights and give them to the crown as needed for Orc incursions. They will protect cities from demons but do not engage them directly.
Council of Guilds:
The Council of Guilds handles all commerce within the Kingdom. The king handles trade with Gaddel and South Morley but all transactions within the kingdom is theirs.
Church of Ryloth:
The Church of Ryloth handles all heresy in hopes of keeping cults to a minimum. This reduces the power of the demons over time. They are at war with the demons.
