The Arrogance of the Old People

The Arrogance of the Old People

Alcott was filled with the ancient people. The Elder Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes. They in their arrogance built a world of magic and technology to rival the gods. They lost their connection with the gods as they had the power of the gods. They built great cities and laughed at the very gods that looked over them. They lived for thousands of years and made a mockery of the short-lived humans. The Gods took pity on the young people. They spoke the words of contempt and brought the world they built to an end. In moments the gods removed these older unclean from Alcott altogether. The young humans did not hear the real warning of the gods and they tried to rebuild the world of the older peoples. The gods gave some warnings, but the new humans could not listen. They were young and were building up their own arrogance.

The gods brought down their final warning and brought upon the demon plight. They were about to give the world to the demons. Many joined the demon hordes as slaves and alleys. They were the Mul. A small group of humans started to join together. They were allied around a great mage, known as “The Vale”. The gods started to argue among themselves about how they had interfered with Alcott. They split into many groups.

The great twelve joined together to form the Rylian church. They saw the great human spirit within the humans that gathered around The Vale and what was now called The Enclave. The two worked together to beat back the demons. They destroyed every grouping they could find. Cities were brought to ruin in these great battles. The Church and the Enclave started to push the demons back. They could not win but they could find a stalemate.

To create the stalemate, they needed to do two things. They needed to control the demon incursion and find piece with the gods. The great twelve of Ryloth came and agreed to handle the second half of the plan. They now hold the powers of the gods at bay. The Enclave was able through great magics to control the location of demon incursion. They now only come to Alcott in the great north of Morley. That is the great agreement.
